It is not less than any festival, people watch and enjoy all the matches to cheer up their favorite teams.

So, if we check the history of the cricket world cup then we will get to know that the first Cricket world cup isorganized in June 1975 in England. The first three Cricket World cups were organized in England and after that, it was decided to organize the World cup in different countries in a rotation system which has 14 ICC members which have to host one match at least in the tournament. All the members of the International Cricket Council can participate in the World cup. The teams which have high rankings get qualified automatically while other teams need to qualify in ICC World Cup Qualifier as well as in World Cricket League.

In the earlier World Cups there were 20 teams to play in the tournament but if we talk about the World cup 2019, then now only 10 teams will play the match. If we talk about the winners of the Cricket World Cup then Australia is on number one as it has won the tournament 5 times, India and West Indies won it twice and Sri Lanka and Pakistan won it only one time.

The Cricket World cup is known as the third biggest sporting event after the FIFA World Cup and Summer Olympics. In 1975, England was the only country which was able to organise the World Cup at that time which was held on 7thJune 1975 and at that time it is called as a Prudential Cup in which matches were consisted of 60 overs with 6 balls in every over and the players wear cricket whites and a red ball is used to play the cricket.

In 1979, ICC Trophy competition was introduced in which non-test playing teams can also take part in World Cups. By 1983, Sri Lanka became a test play nation whereas Zimbabwe qualified in the ICC trophy. India and Pakistan hosted the tournament in 1987 together and overs were reduced from 60 to 50 per innings because of the shorter daylight in India as compared to England and in that world cup, Australia defeated England by 7 runs in the final.

If we talk about the format of Cricket World Cup 2015 then as we know that there were 14 teams as same as in 2011 Cricket World Cup in which all affiliate and associate members were able to participate to play the tournament. To take the decision of the winning team and if the match ends or finished as a tie, the use of super over was reinstated by ICC for the Cricket World cup Final match in 29th January 2015.

For the preparation of the 2015 Cricket World Cup, an organizing committee was finalized and for visas, it was announced that the people who would otherwise not be entitled to a visa waiver can come to New Zealand if they have Australian Visitor visa and for this special trans-Tasman visa arrangements were made in 2015. The broadcasting channels have rights to promote or broadcast the tournament and ICC sold the rights for 2 Billion dollars to Star Sports and ESPN. The LOC wants to take cricket to the wide range of communities throughout Australia and New Zealand and to make the tournament a fan-friendly tournament. After filling the role at the Cricket World Cup 2011, ICC named Sachin Tendulkar as the Ambassador of the World Cup for the second time.

If we talk about the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup 2015 then the ceremonies were helped separately in Melbourne of Australia and Christchurch of New Zealand two days before starting the tournament on 12thFeb2015. There was a prize money pool of $10 million also declared by the international cricket council for the tournament which was more as compared to 2011 Cricket World Cup and the prize money was distributed as per the performance of the teams. The winner got the maximum prize money whereas the teams which were eliminated in the group stage got very less amount from the money pool.

Venues of the Cricket World Cup 2019 Matches:

In the 2015 Cricket World cup, every venue hosted 3 pool stages of matches and the quarterfinals were played in the Sydney, Adelaide, Wellington, and Melbourne whereas the semi-finals were played in Sydney and Auckland and in the Melbourne the final match was played in which Australia defeated New Zealand.

After winning the 2015 Cricket World Cup, Australia are deserved favorites with India and South Africa no far behind. It will be very interesting to see the match if David Warner and Steve Smith will make it back to the world cup after completing their 1-year ban for being involved in ball tempering this year against South Africa. England is the only fourth favorite to host the country historically having a massive advantage.

As we know that all the test playing teams are more favored than the affiliate teams and the bookmakers believe that they will have no trouble in qualifying the tournament and ICC world cup 2019 fixtures. As there is only one group stage in the 2019 Cricket World cup Matches in which all the 10 teams will play and will play each other once before reaching the final stage or match of the tournament.

Some latest news regarding CWC 2019:

  • England’s Sam Billings believe that India will be the biggest threat to the hosts of the ICC World Cup 2019 which will be played in England and Wales. According to the Sam, there are many good teams but to beat Indian cricket team will be a tough task, as the Indian team is always strong and have very good players in the team, that’s why Sam see India as the biggest rival of England incwc 2019 schedule. As per the Sam Billings, England’s one-day cricket matches has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and we have to be confident and optimistic and have to give our best in the CWC 2019 if we want to win the tournament. We will encourage some other children and people or fans to not only watch the cricket but play as well.

  • Mitchell McClenaghan, player of the New Zealand team is predicting a run-heavy Cricket World Cup in 2019. There are many world class batsman is there in the New Zealand team and if they want to pick up the World Cup in 2019 then the team should have to perform well, said McClenaghan. I have been watching the progress of New Zealand from the last year and now they are starting to build a nicely towards the world cup.

According to him, Colin Munroe will be fitted in the top and McCullum spot with the aggressive opening role. He thinks that batting is an important key and there are some big targets that have to be chased down. In the champions trophy, we saw that the ball did not swing as much because of which a lot of runs scored and like others McClenaghan is also expecting hosts England to be the side to beat at the World Cup in 2019. For Indian team, McClenaghan said that India will be there and England are the rightful number ones at the moment. Indian team has got the most aggressive players and you will feel like the game is won when you are playing against them at no point.

He is expecting from young players of New Zealand team who have made their debuts in International matches to push hard for a spot in New Zealand’s CWC squad.According to him, Glenn Phillips is a dangerous opening batsman as he has the ability to score 100 injust 50-60 balls. Glenn Phillips is also known as an aggressive player. If we talk about any other player then Mark Chapman is one of the most powerful hitter players who can come at the end and make the team win.

  • Tamim Iqbal is the leading run-scorer in ODIs of the Bangladesh team and will play his fourth world cup in 2019 and he is aiming for the success to lift up the World Cup 2019 trophy. He said that he doesn’t come with the mindset of not winning the trophy, he always comes to win the trophy, he also said that we need to give our best performance and after that, we will see what will happen at the end. According to him, there are many serious teams like England, India etc but sometimes surprise teams will win. The same incident happened in 1996 when no one was expecting that Sri Lanka would win but Sri Lankan team won that World Cup, so who knows Bangladesh might win the World Cup 2019.

In 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, the Bangladesh team reached to the semi-finals and also received the huge support from their fans in England and that is the main thing that excites them to play again in England and Wales. For us, CWC 2019 will be the biggest cricket event and all the team members are looking for to it and will play well. In England, a lot of Bangladeshis are there, so it’s always a very special to play in England as it is a home away from home for me, said Tamin. We had more supporters than England at the time of last Champions Trophy played in England, so it excites me a lot whenever I get the opportunity to play in England.

According to Tamim, some pressure is always there whether you are playing atthe home or away from home, you just need to give your best in the match. This time format is new and teams have to win 5-6 games to reach in the semi-finals, so we are ready to play with full confidence to win the world cup.

  • Sachin Tendulkar’s Comments on Dhoni’s chances of playing CWC 2019:

Recently, Sachin Tendulkar commented on the chances of MS Dhoni for playing CWC 2019 and he said that Dhoni should have to play on a consistent basis to increase the chances of retaining his place in the Indian Team. The Cricket World 2019 which will be played in England will be of 50 overs. For his rough performance in quadrennial tournament,Dhoni has been criticized a number of times whereas he is sort of confirmed to be a part of CWC 2019.

Dhoni recently criticized when he failed to sail the Indian Team’s boat past the winning score in the 2nd ODI against England. It was clearly shown that Dhoni’s finishing ability has come down. However, Still Dhoni a 37 year old player have the ability or capable to give success to the team in the Cricket world cup 2019. While commenting on Dhoni’s playing status, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar also said that it is up to Mahendra Singh Dhoni and plans of Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri, it’s all upto what Dhoni thinks. Sachin also said that he doesn’t know the actual plans of Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shashtri. The world cup is a year away, so we have a lot of time to think.

If we talk about the last 3 ODIs and 20-20 International matches then there were changes in the team that has nothing to do with the form. There could be any challenges for a player like a form or fitness challenges, so, I will just wait and watch the decision of all, said Sachin.Indian team does not have any replacement for MS Dhoni right now and Dinesh Karthik has been with the team for over a year only so he has not been given many chances in ODI format. The upcoming test series against England will have a great role in deciding his future in ODI.
